“My partner & I stayed at the Lounge & Bar Hotel from Fri 30Jan to Sun 1 Feb. We were delighted with our room (25) which was spacious, nicely decorated & spotless. The bed was huge & comfortable & the tv was large with all services available so able to watch a drama series on Netflix. Breakfast was good & the service from a lovely girl named Jesse was excellent. We didn’t experience the restaurant on this occasion as we were visiting nearby towns. “Just stayed overnight here with my wife. (Room 14, massive, £110 including breakfast and free parking, which is good value for money during Easter school hols 2026). Lovely friendly staff. Professional. Excellent full English. Didn’t eat here on the evening but would next time we come, plus they have a beer garden. When you book they send you a video showing how to get from the cap arm, through an alley, then out at the butchers to the hotel. 4 min walk.”

“Currently sat in the dining room for breakfast (included in the price which was less than £100) nearly stayed at the “premier inn” round the corner for no less than double the price (breakfast not included) and I’ve gotta say, I am so glad I had a look round first and found this place, Luvly place with great bar/restaurant, staff were attentive and helpful and just plain friendly, room was more than comfortable. I can always find small faults with most places however I’m struggling with this place, will absolutely be back. Well done.”

“The hotel is in a great location if exploring Penrith or surrounding areas. It’s a 10 min walk from Penrith train station and has supermarkets, takeaways and any shop you need on the doorstep on the main road. Free parking at the rear of the hotel is a great addition. The room’s only downside was it was too warm for both of us, we had the fan on and window which would only slightly open, open all night due to this and was still too warm in November bare in mind, which disrupted our sleep, granted the beds were very comfy. Bathroom and shower were great too. The rooms were very clean which was also great! The breakfast was average in our opinion. Lots of choice, yogurts, cereal, juices or warm drinks are available too. For breakfast we had eggs on toast and the full English, the eggs on toast came with one piece of toast, not 2 which I thought was a downfall, however all tasted nice. The full English was okay, nothing to shout about but included with the room so again, great convenience. The room we had breakfast in was really nice, modern and had the news on for some atmosphere which was a nice touch. Overall, I’d recommend the hotel as it is great value for money, the rooms are good, more importantly everything in the hotel is very clean and the staff are very welcoming and polite.”

“I had a fantastic stay at The Lounge Hotel & Bar. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The staff went out of their way to ensure everything was just right, which made a real difference to the overall experience. The facilities were excellent—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The room had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and the bar area created a great atmosphere to unwind in the evening. The location is another big plus, perfectly situated for exploring Penrith and the surrounding area. It made getting around easy and added to the convenience of the trip. Overall, a brilliant stay with great service, quality facilities, and an ideal location. I would definitely recommend and happily return.”
